Scholarships

(Pre-service & New Teachers (1 - 5 years)

The Hoosier Association of Science Teachers, Inc. is dedicated to the ongoing professional development of its members. It is HASTI’s desire to help in the continuing development of preservice and beginning teachers, particularly where local funds are insufficient. 

At least five pre-service or new science teachers (1-5 years) will be considered for a conference scholarship.  Funds can be used for registration and membership fees for one year.  The grant cannot fund teacher stipends or substitute pay.

You must pay for membership and conference registration in order to qualify for the scholarship.  

Deadline to submit scholarship:  February 9, 2025

Instructions for reimbursement after the conference: 

To apply for reimbursement for attending the HASTI Conference the following must be submitted/attached through this form.

All receipts (for conference fees and one year membership)

A written report (in PDF form) that includes the sessions attended and summary of what you learned from these sessions.  

These two documents will be required within two weeks of the completion of the conference.  Once received, then a reimbursement will be processed.  If a recipient does not file these reports within two weeks, then any paid amounts will not be refunded.
