2017 Program Proposal Submissions
The 46th Annual HASTI Conference, Science for a Healthy Indiana, will be held February 1-3, 2017 at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis. The HASTI Conference provides you with an opportunity to present your ideas to Indiana science teachers, administrators, future educators, and anyone with an interest in improving science education in Indiana. Presenters play a huge role in the success of this event and we encourage you to submit a proposal for consideration!
Deadline to submit program proposals: October 10, 2016
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT:
Sessions for the conference can be in one of the following formats:
A presentation that promotes a product in which the presenter has financial interest, or is representing a company that has a financial interest, must be proposed as a commercial workshop and the company must be exhibiting at the conference. Exhibitors may propose (1) commercial workshop. Exhibitor registration is available online via www.hasti.org.
SALE OF PRODUCTS
The sale of products is not permitted in any of the concurrent sessions.
AUDIO VISUAL EQUIPMENT
All session rooms will be equipped with a podium, LCD projector, screen, wireless internet for two users, and sound. If you will be utilizing transparencies during your session, HASTI will also provide an overhead projector. PRESENTERS WILL NEED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN LAPTOPS. Remember, if you will be using a Mac, please be sure to bring your adapter so it can be connected to the projector. For any additional audiovisual needs, you must arrange and pay for your own equipment.
HANDOUTS & SLIDES
If you utilize handouts please have enough for all who attend your session. HASTI requests presenters to supply at least 60 handouts per session at the conference. HASTI will be posting concurrent session handouts online for attendees to view and print after the conference. With this new benefit for HASTI attendees we definitely still encourage you to have handouts at your session. Attending a session at HASTI provides a learning experience for our attendees. Be sure to include contact information on your handouts so that teachers who attend your session can continue that dialogue.
Acceptance notifications will be sent to the primary presenter via email.
