HASTI is providing a one-day professional development opportunity for new (1-5 years) and pre-service science teachers as well as the administratprs and instructional coaches that support them. We all know how hard it is to be a teacher and that having the right support network is extremely important to teacher retention. During this one-day event, Indiana teachers will lead workshop-style breakout sessions, introducing and sharing their classroom experiences and how they made it through their first five years of teaching. These workshops are focused on identifying the needs of new and pre-service teachers, sharing ideas and best practices, and, indeed, coming alongside our colleagues to build community, connection, and a network of support.

Strands for the mini-conference are:
